Newburyport High School offers a lease-to-own program for our recommended device package: Apple iPad Air with Logitech Keyboard case and 4 years of Apple Care.

The lease program is open in the spring every year. Lease programs may vary from year to year. We are currently able to offer a competitive 2.99% interest rate on a 4-year lease.

Scholarship Program Overview

Our goal is for every student to participate in the iPad program and to make sure every student/family has a pathway to invest in a device that is their own.

Three levels of need-based scholarships will be awarded annually. Need will be calculated based on the annual USDA Child Nutrition Programs Income Eligibility Guidelines. Payments are reduced based on income eligibility.

3 60%  multiplying the 2026 federal income poverty guidelines by 1.3
2 40% multiplying the 2026 federal income poverty guidelines by 1.85
1 20% multiplying the 2026 federal income poverty guidelines by 2.4

Scholarship applications are reviewed and approved by the Business Office. All application information is confidential. 

Scholarship applicants must complete the Scholarship Application form and provide the required documents to verify income and family household size. Incomplete applications will not be processed. Scholarship Applicants will be notified by email of the results of their application. Scholarships are awarded annually. Upon receipt of a scholarship, participants will be sent an email to make their first payment on MySchoolBucks.

Apple Care+ covers the iPad for 4 years from the date of purchase. It does not apply to the Logitech keyboard cover, or other accessories. Apple Care+ does not cover lost or stolen devices, chargers, pencils or cables.
