NHS Anti-Bullying Resources
NHS provides a range of opportunities to help our students develop positive connections with teachers, peers, and the school.
Our Advisory Program provides small group lessons to help students identify strategies and resources for solving conflicts and setting goals. Every student is assigned to an advisory class that meets regularly. Through activities, discussions, and shared experiences, students have opportunities to develop skills in resolving conflict, taking risks and celebrating accomplishments. An important part of this program is making sure every student has a trusted adult in the building with whom they can share concerns and problem-solve.
In addition, the high school has a school guidance and adjustment counseling team who can support young people with navigating complex social situations that may arise.
If you have any concerns or need to report an incident, please do not hesitate to let us know. You can contact our Associate Principal Mike Testa at mtesta@newburyport.k12.ma.us or our Dean of Special Programs James Antonelli jantonelli@newburyport.k12.ma.us or call the NHS office at 978-465-4440.
