Community Service & Volunteering

Check out Opportunities through your student SchooLinks account

Newburyport High School is now using SchooLinks for all things supporting students' College & Career Readiness success.  For the most up to date Community Service and or Volunteer opportunities please log into your student SchooLinks account, click on the Career tab on the left, click on Opportunities, click on the Opportunity Type drop down and go from there for what you are looking for.  Any issues or questions, please see Mr. Smith in our College & Career Center or email him aribaudosmith@newburyport.k12.ma.us

  • Students may earn an additional 2.5 credits for every 75 hours of community service completed, up to a total of 150 hours. Any hours beyond 150 will still be recognized and noted on your transcript.
  • Please note that community service is not required for graduation, but it is a requirement for National Honor Society eligibility.
  • To have this noted, you must submit your community service log each year to our school counselor, Mrs. Phelps. Her office is located in Room 134F within the School Counseling Suite.
  • Please be sure to complete the form in full before submitting it. If you have any questions about completing or turning in your community service log, please contact Mrs. Phelps directly by email.

Newburyport High School also offers several community service clubs that give students the opportunity to earn hours by participating in events and programs organized through the club. For more information about the clubs available, please contact the club advisor listed below.
