This class is for 11th and 12th grade students who enjoy participating in team sports and small group activities. Students will develop proper techniques and skills associated with a variety of sports as well as focusing on strategy and sportsmanship. They will also participate in cardiovascular, strength and agility training activities. Students will be provided with the opportunity to select and design a personal fitness plan. They will be responsible for setting and measuring their goals and reflecting upon their participation. There will also be an opportunity for other lifelong healthy activities. Through these activities students will focus on an atmosphere of mutual support in which cooperation, encouragement, and interpersonal relationships are explored. Some of the team activities will included: ultimate Frisbee, flag football, soccer, net games, and basketball. Some leisure activities will include: aerobic walking, tennis, badminton, golf, bocce, and Frisbee games.
