In this course, we will examine the stories of the people who have left an indelible impact on our lives in the contemporary United States, but whom most of us have never heard of. These individuals all worked to help the United States come closer to realizing its dream of “a more perfect union” and yet have been largely left out of then historic record. This one semester elective will focus on American history and include project-based learning with room for individual choice around some areas of study.
