Level II H language class continues with a thematic, skills based curriculum in the target language. The class is conducted in the target language 90% of the time, and students are expected to achieve an intermediate-mid /low level in interpersonal, interpretive and presentational modes in the four domains-speaking, listening, reading and writing. An intermediate mid language learner can spontaneously access vocabulary; use time frames with adverbs; describe, explain and compare; confidently apply circumlocution strategies; and confidently recognize language in different time frames. Instructors use authentic resources to deliver instruction. Common, performance-based assessments and self-assessments are used to evaluate the learning outcomes of each student.
