Honors Physics is a two semester laboratory course. This course is designed for students who have excellent mathematical and analytical abilities and possess a high level of interest in science. It includes the major concepts listed in the description of the CP 1 Physics course but offers an in-depth exploration of each. Emphasis is given to developing critical thinking skills at an accelerated pace. Students who have a drive to learn NEW approaches of solving fascinating queries using physical relationships that addresses physical phenomena found everywhere in our world should consider taking this course. Students who are highly successful in this course and/or have a strong interest in becoming engineers and/or have an interest in continuing an even deeper understanding of the concepts in physics may be recommended for the AP Physics course the following year.
