PREREQUISITE: Teacher must approve all students.

The NHS strings ensemble is your new home for violins, violas, cellos, and bass. Electric bass is welcome, too! In this class you will explore music of many varieties in a strings-only environment. From the masterworks of classical music to jazz, pop, and rock music, we’ll cover as much material as we can, while learning how to balance and blend and improve our skills so we can play more challenging music. A long-term goal of this course is to reach a skill level that allows us to combine with some wind and percussion instruments to create a symphony orchestra.

Course may be repeated for credit.
