Students expand their ability to perform all the functions acquired in German 1, and they develop the ability to ask and respond to questions; to clarify information; to exchange opinions about people, activities, or events, and discuss class readings. Topics for listening, speaking, reading, and writing build on those acquired in German 1 and add such topics as leisure activities, foods, shopping, cultural and historical figures, geography and travel.
