PREREQUISITES: Must have successfully completed Biology.

This course will introduce students to the science of forensics while developing investigative science skills and laboratory skills. Topics covered in the course include the history of forensics, analyzing crime scenes, types of evidence, trace evidence analysis, biological evidence and DNA analysis. Students will learn about the history of forensics as well as utilize modern biotechnology to analyze and investigate various types of crimes, from simulated thefts to identifying missing endangered animals in Madagascar.
