CP 1 Biology is a two semester laboratory course. Students in this level must be independent readers with good writing skills. The course will provide the student with the opportunity to explore and investigate the biological world from the microscopic to the macroscopic. Topics of this course focuses on characteristics of living things, branches of related biological sciences, and the concepts of biochemistry, cell structure and function, cell reproduction, genetics, plant and animal physiology, evolution, classification, and ecology.
