PREREQUISITES: Successful completion of Algebra I is strongly recommended for enrollment in Honors Chemistry.

Honors Chemistry is a two semester laboratory course. This course is designed for the highly motivated science student who has excellent mathematical and analytical abilities. The topics of this course not only include each of those listed in CP1 Chemistry, but Honors will delve deeper into each topic AND incorporate additional topics, such as Oxidation Reduction Reactions, Nuclear Reactions and Equilibrium. In order to accommodate the accelerated pace of learning that takes place in Honors chemistry, the student must be motivated to practice independently out of class time.
