Students will be introduced to ethical principles and how they apply to real life issues in the field of science. Never before in the history of our planet have citizens of the U.S. and other developed countries been presented with such a dizzying array of choices concerning medical procedures, biological research, and uses of technology. Being able to critically analyze scientific information and make informed ethical decisions based on established forms of moral and ethical reasoning is vital to a healthy society.
