This course is designed for students with a serious interest in the political and economic structures of American society. It should prove very beneficial to students intending to major in political science and/or economics in college. While covering the same topics as Civics & Government, including constitutional principles, public policy making, and political and social equality, this course treats them considerably more in depth. As with Civics & Government, this course will include a study of the basic characteristics of civic responsibility will be stressed. Major position papers, research projects, and citizen participation assignments are required.
