The Honors level course requires students to read additional and more complex texts, to analyze and interpret literature independently, and to write with greater depth, detail, and skill. Students should be capable of reading higher level texts independently and writing advanced argument and expository essays as demonstrated by their performance in Sophomore Literature and Composition. A summer reading text is required and must be completed prior to the start of the school year.
