The district wellness team is proud to celebrate our very own Newburyport "Wellness Olympics"!

At the Bresnahan Elementary School, students in grades K-3 participated in Paralympic inspired activity stations focused on inclusion and accessibility. Through hands-on challenged, they learned how sports equipment and rules can be adapted so that everyone can participate. This experience promoted teamwork and understanding.

At the Nock Middle School, students wrapped up their explore cycles with an Olympic styled competition, featuring floor hockey, basketball, volleyball, soccer, badminton, curling, and sled races. Daily themes like "Jersey day" and "USA day" helped build school spirit, and students earned points for their class by participating. This event celebrated sportsmanship and pride.

At Newburyport High School, 9th and 10th grade wellness students competed in an Olympic themed volleyball tournament that encouraged teamwork and positive peer connections. Nutrition classes also took part in the "An Apple A Day" challenge, which reinforced healthy habits, and the importance of proper nutrition.

We are incredibly proud of all our student participants for embracing the olympic values of respect, excellence, and friendship. Thank you to our wellness team, staff, and volunteers who helped make this celebration of health and inclusion a true gold-medal success!
