    Reminder that the club fair is happening today during lunch periods

     Global Scholars Club will have its first monthly meeting this Thursday, Sept 28th at 5:30 pm in the school library. This meeting is mandatory for all members of the April Cuba trip but we hope to see all members.

     

    Interested in learning how you can be a Global Scholar? This club is open to all students and there will be an informational meeting for new members on Oct 2nd right after school in room 045J. 

     

    A quick reminder to Juniors and Seniors. Today we have the University of Mass Dartmouth at 9am, the US Marine Corps at 10am, and University of New England at 12pm.  The visit will take place in the College and Career Center. Register in Naviance and see Mr. Smith for a pass. 

     

    Looking for a way to get community service hours? Or how about wanting to join a club to make a difference in your community, gain leadership experience, and spread the knowledge of life-saving skills, all while meeting new people and having fun with friends? The Red Cross Club is seeking new members and they need you! Not convinced yet, come to the introductory meeting next Wednesday, October 4th, at 7:40 A.M. in room 337, or come ask questions at the club table during lunch this Thursday.

     

     

    This is a quick reminder to all students that we are hosting the Greater Essex County College & Career Fair tomorrow Wednesday, September 27th from 6pm-7:30pm in the NHS Gym. All are welcome to attend.  At this time we have 113 colleges and universities registered and 19 different community partner organizations.  Please see the email from Mr. Smith with the link for the list of updated colleges and community partners attending and a list of questions to ask and be thinking about in order to prepare for the fair.

    Are you interested in a national music honors society? Did you even know there was such a thing? See Mr. Cohen in room 9, or look for a table at the club fair during lunch. 

    If you are interested in joining a community service club, come join the Leos!  There will be a SHORT informational meeting in room 328, Ms. Taggart's room on Monday 9/25 at  3:45 right after school.  

     

    Attention all students: Are you interested in representing your school at this Friday's pep rally? Are you looking for an opportunity to let your school spirit shine? If so, please plan to attend a brief meeting after school today in room 348, and be sure to bring ideas and excitement.

    Ms. LeBlanc is asking all Officers to meet in the Student Support Office at the end of the day today, and if possible at 7:45 tomorrow morning. Class members still interested in joining our executive board or assisting with upcoming class events are welcome to attend as well. These will be two very brief meetings to work out scheduling and upcoming dates.

  • Tuesday, September 19 2023                     Today is a Day One

     

    Today we have advisory for the first half of clipper block. All students should log into enriching students to make an appointment with a teacher for the gold portion of clipper block

     

    The first Poetry Soup of this school year will take place this Wednesday night, gathering at 7 pm for a 7:15 start in room 118, There will be an open mike followed by our guest poet, internationally recognized spoken word artist, Cole Rodriguez, who has participated in several National Poetry Slams. Everyone is invited to come express what matters to you or just enjoy being in the audience to listen. You will definitely be inspired!

     

    If you are interested in being a member of the Mock Trial Team there will be a meeting right after school on Wednesday in room 228. 

    There will be an info meeting for ART CLUB at 2:50 after school in Mr. Smith's Room 11 this Wednesday. If you can't make the meeting, go visit Mr. Smith for more info (or scan the QR code on his door).

    Attention Sophomores 

    Class Officer Speeches are today during Clipper Block. If you still need to turn in any items to run for office please get them to Mrs LeBlanc ASAP. All students running for office must turn in their Nomination Form, a copy of their Speech, and fill out the Google Form.

    There is a current member meeting for the National Art Honor Society today, September 18th in room 056A right after school.

    Auditions for the fall play, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, are today at 3 and tomorrow at 4:30. More information can be found on the bulletin board outside of room 111. 

     

    The Interact Club will have its first meeting Tuesday, September 12 at 7:45 a.m. in room 330. All are welcome to attend.

     

    All students in the Global Citizenship Program please sign up for Ms Maconi's Gold Clipper Block for this Wednesday, September 13th. This is a mandatory meeting. Information in Google Classroom

      

    There will be a National Art Honor Society Meeting for current members only on Monday, Sept 18th immediately after school in room 045A. 

     

    The Environmental Club will hold their first meeting today at Atkinson Park at 6:00 pm weather permitting – please look for updates – on the NHS Instagram Page
